ResumeGuard vs GetPruf
Both ResumeGuard and GetPruf screen resumes for fabricated employers, timeline issues, and AI-written content before you spend interview time. The difference is how much of the product is self-serve, how scores are explained, and what you pay when volume grows.
This page uses only facts published on GetPruf’s public site (getpruf.ai, reviewed August 2026). Where a GetPruf detail is not published, we say so.

GetPruf, TechLooker, and Tofu positioning based on public product pages (August 2026). GetPruf API is listed on Business ($499/mo) and Enterprise. TechLooker’s resume-fraud page is sales/demo content and disclaims that it does not sell screening software. Tofu advertises a Fraud API but does not publish list prices or a public OpenAPI spec on the pages we reviewed.
What GetPruf publishes
GetPruf is a self-serve resume fraud checker with a free first screen, results in about 60 seconds, and a single 0–100 risk score plus flags and interview questions. Public pricing starts at $49/month for 20 credits ($2.45 per candidate). REST API access is listed on the Business plan ($499/month) and Enterprise — not on Starter or Pro. GetPruf describes scoring across six deterministic dimensions on its partner page.
Where ResumeGuard differs
Evidence-backed 10-dimension scores
ResumeGuard returns composite, fabrication, and polish risk plus ten dimension breakdowns with evidence flags. GetPruf’s public product pages emphasize a single 0–100 risk score. Six scoring dimensions are mentioned on GetPruf’s partner page; a public per-dimension score breakdown comparable to ResumeGuard’s API response is not published.
Public API and OpenAPI
ResumeGuard publishes REST docs and an OpenAPI spec anyone can read, with self-serve API keys after you add a payment method. GetPruf states that API documentation is available on Business and Enterprise plans. We could not find a public OpenAPI document on getpruf.ai.
Pay-as-you-go, no monthly minimum
ResumeGuard bills ResumeGuard usage from $0.35–$1.00 per resume with no monthly minimum or annual contract. GetPruf’s published plans are monthly credit packs (Starter $49/mo, Pro $199/mo, Business $499/mo). Unused-credit and overage rules beyond those packs are not spelled out on the public pricing table.
Free browser check
Both products offer one free resume screen without a credit card. ResumeGuard’s free check is the same 10-dimension model you get in production.
Speed
ResumeGuard typically finishes in under 10 seconds. GetPruf publishes “results in 60 seconds” on its homepage.
GetPruf also publishes branded PDF reports, bulk upload of up to 50 resumes on Business, and 20 phone-screen questions per report. Those are real product features; they are not the axis this comparison is written around. We did not invent GetPruf ATS connector availability — their site lists Greenhouse, Lever, and Workday integrations as coming soon.
